TAJ MAHAL INDIA!!! 🇮🇳❤️ Discovering the Magic & Beauty of Agra India
Hi, Guys! This time we are taking you to Agra, the City of Love in Uttar Pradesh, India, where we visited the Taj Mahal - one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Checking Into Taj Resorts Hotel Agra
After a 4-hour drive from Jaipur to Agra, we checked into the beautiful Taj Resorts Hotel. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the hotel's perks and amenities because we had to get some rest before a long day of exploration.
Taj Mahal - One of the New 7 Wonders of the World
The next morning, we woke up early to visit the Taj Mahal. This symbol of love and devotion was built in 1632 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to build and is a blend of Indian, Persian, and Islamic styles.
Its impressive main dome reaches a height of 73 meters, surrounded by smaller domes and reflecting pools. The monument's symmetrical design showcases exceptional craftsmanship. It's said that over 20,000 workers were involved in its construction, including artisans, craftsmen, and architects from all over the world!
As we explored the Taj Mahal, we admired its beauty, the white marble mausoleum, and its intricate details. We made a great decision to start our visit in the early morning when the sun wasn't as strong, and there were fewer people. It took us almost 2.5 hours to see it, but we were out by 8 am and could enjoy the rest of our day exploring Agra.
More Coincidences: Bumping Into Kiwi Friends In India
During our visit, we also had a fascinating coincidence. Can you imagine bumping into friends from New Zealand halfway across the world in India? It certainly made our trip even more memorable!
Agra Fort and Its Incredible Architecture
Our next stop was Agra Fort, where we were in awe of its incredible architecture - a mixture of Indian, Muslim, and Christian motifs in honor of Emperor Akbar's wives. Although Agra Fort is often overshadowed by the nearby Taj Mahal, it is still a magnificent site to visit and holds an important place in the history of the Mughal Empire.
The fort's impressive architecture and rich history make it a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Agra. It is interesting to note that it was Emperor Akbar who built the fort, and his grandson, Shah Jahan (builder of the Taj Mahal), later expanded it and made it into the structure we see today.
In conclusion, we highly recommend visiting Agra if you ever get the chance. Though there are only two main things to see - the breathtaking beauty of the Taj Mahal and the incredible architecture of Agra Fort, it's still an experience you won't want to miss.z
