48 HOURS IN LONDON!! 🇬🇧😍 Harrods, Selfridges, Liberty London & More
Hey guys! Today, we're sharing a short but fun trip to London that Angelique and I took before she headed off to a girls coding camp. It was a mix of sightseeing, catching up with friends, and, of course, exploring all that London has to offer!
Early Flight at Geneva Airport
Our adventure started with an overnight stay at a friend's house in Geneva. We had an early flight to London the next morning, and when we arrived at Heathrow, it was as busy as expected—one of the biggest and busiest airports in the world! But that's nothing new for us seasoned travelers.
With a few days to spare before Angelique had to be at camp, we made the most of our time by staying with my dear friend Siobhan in London. We kicked things off with some grocery shopping, and to show our gratitude, Angelique whipped up a delicious pasta dinner. It was the perfect start to our time in the city.
In between getting Angelique ready for camp, we squeezed in some sightseeing. Although we've been to London before, it felt like rediscovering the city all over again. London Bridge? Check. But the city's ever-changing energy made it feel fresh and exciting.
Grand Tour of London
The next day, Siobhan took us on an unforgettable tour around London. It's one thing to visit the typical tourist spots, but it's a completely different experience when a local shows you around. From hidden alleyways to charming pubs, restaurants, secret shops, and gardens, we discovered a whole new side of the city we had never seen before.
One of the highlights of our trip was visiting Liberty, one of the oldest and most historic stores in London. The atmosphere, the history—it felt like stepping into another era. And then there was Harrods! This iconic luxury store blew us away. It's like a world of its own, with people from all walks of life wandering through its halls. Words can't do it justice—you really have to be there to feel the energy of the place.
Fish and Chips in London
Of course, we couldn’t leave London without trying some classic fish and chips! After a quick lunch break, we continued our exploration, capping off the day with a proper English dinner at a local restaurant. We even tried Yorkshire pudding, and let me tell you, anyone who says England doesn’t have great food hasn’t tried what we did!
That wrapped up our short but sweet trip to London. Angelique headed off to camp, and I hopped on a plane back to Switzerland.
