PHUKET THAILAND 2022 🇹🇭 Why We Love Phuket Beaches, Thai Food & Thai Living

Join us as we explore the beautiful island of Phuket in one of our favorite spots in the world - Thailand. In this video, we are partnering with Solgaard - an award-winning sustainable travel gear company.

For all of you running into our videos for the first time, we visited Thailand back in April of 2022, when some of the restrictions were still in place. Looking back, it’s crazy how quickly the pandemic changed our lives.

Patong Beach in Phuket, Thailand

We started our Phuket tour early in the morning near the famous Patong Beach. On the way there, we made a quick stop for breakfast, and believe it or not, we had ketchup for the first time in two years. (Apparently, Kiwis don’t like it that much.)

Home Exchange Check-In and Tour

The next day, we moved into a gorgeous Home Exchange. Our hosts were so lovely to give us directions and recommendations for everything we needed - from car rental companies, to grocery stores, to shops and restaurants. We really appreciated the help. 

On top of it, their place was amazing, to say the least. We had three big bedrooms, three bathrooms, a spacious living room, an updated kitchen, and, most importantly, a private pool!

Phuket Amazing Rental Car Service

Now back to our Phuket trip, which was getting more and more amazing by the hour. Can you imagine a car rental company that drops off the car at the front door? Not where we come from!

We paid in cash, signed the rental agreement on an iPad, and we were good to go. We took the car for a ride immediately, just to check out Phuket’s coast and local beaches. 

Fun at Kata Beach and Amazing Thai Food

Our choice for the day was Kata Beach because of the lovely turquoise water, the smooth, golden sand, and the inevitable super delicious Thai food.

It’s crazy how much we love Thai cuisine. It might be our favorite of all time. But hey, we haven’t been to every country yet, so who knows?!
