EATING BUGS IN SIEM REAP CAMBODIA!!! πŸ•·πŸ¦—πŸ¦‚πŸ›πŸ‡°πŸ‡

Join us on one of the craziest culinary adventures we have ever embarked on, and it’s taking place right in the heart of Cambodia.Β Β

But before we go any further, a little warning for those faint of heart, this may not be the ideal video for you. πŸ˜‚

Since it was Tyler’s birthday, we started the day with a celebratory adrenaline rush by visiting the Angkor Ziplines!

Then we met our friend Brad, the head of the Shinta Mani Foundation, who accompanied us to a local village.

As he explained, his Foundation collaborates with the Global Dental Relief group, whose volunteers work on improving the dental health of locals.Β

We also met with Andrea, the head of operations, who told us that Global Dental Relief currently operates in 6 different countries, including Cambodia, and explained how one could become a volunteer with their organization.Β

The girls then decided to show the local children how to play a game they loved when they were younger.Β

And then it was time for our little Cambodian delicacy adventure!

We headed towards the popular Pub Street in Siem Reap, and as we walked in, we ran into this cute little kid selling fried bugs, and naturally, we had to try some!

Scorpios, worms, tarantulas, crickets - you name it, he got it. We felt VERY adventurous, but in the end, only Chantal, Julia, and Choe were brave enough to have a crispy bite!

We even had some strangers in the street join the bug-tasting party!Β

In all honesty, the bugs weren’t as repulsive as the thought of eating them.Β

Unfortunately (or fortunately), the bugs were not filling enough, so we had to grab some REAL food.Β

Mexican sounded like a great idea initially, but soon enough, we realized we were not completely ready to put anything else in our mouths after the creepy-crawly escapade.Β

So would you ever dare to try a friend bug, or is this where you draw the line?
