NEPAL🇳🇵FIRST IMPRESSIONS! ❤️ … and our 💰😳 Journey from Thailand to Kathmandu

Hey Guys, today we are taking you to Nepal, the birthplace of Buddha!

After spending the last month in Thailand focusing on work and school, we are more than ready for our next adventure. This time, we're off to explore a new country—beautiful Nepal.

The Pattons’ Packing Challenges in Thailand

Packing, as always, was a bit of a challenge. Even though we're used to traveling light with just carry-ons and backpacks, we needed extra space for our equipment this time. In such situations, we end up buying cheap suitcases that don't last because we often leave them behind, but if you're looking for high-quality travel bags, we've got a great recommendation for you.

We Overstayed Our Welcome in Thailand

Once we found the right suitcase, we were all set for our flight. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the airport, we realized we had overstayed our welcome in Thailand by 7 days! We forgot to check the tourist stay rules and ended up paying over $800 at the border to be allowed to leave the country. Lesson learned!

Welcome to Nepal! Hyatt Place Kathmandu

We managed to sort everything out and catch our flight to Nepal. After a smooth 3.5-hour journey, we landed in Kathmandu, ready to start our next adventure.

A short taxi ride took us to our home away from home in Nepal, the modern Hyatt Place Kathmandu. Located just 4km from the city center, it was perfectly situated for us to easily visit all the local attractions on our itinerary.

We were warmly welcomed and checked into our suite on the 11th floor. The rooms were cozy and modern with a great central view—they offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

If you are a modern, multi-tasking traveler, we highly recommend booking a room at this beautiful Hyatt property in the heart of Kathmandu. 👉🏻 https://growingupwithoutborders.com/hyattkathmandu

Exploring Kathmandu at Night + Trying Local Nepali Food

Even though it was late in the evening, we were eager to start exploring. We decided to check out the local shops in the Kamal area and grab some delicious local food.
