Hey guys! As many of you know, we’re full-time travelers, but when summer rolls around, there’s nothing we love more than coming back home to Villeneuve, Switzerland. We’ve been getting loads of requests from you asking for our top recommendations on the Swiss Riviera, so Julia decided to put together this short video to show you all the best spots.

How to Get Around the Swiss Riviera

First off, let’s talk about getting around. The Swiss Riviera is a dream to explore by boat, bike, or car, but honestly, we’re all about the train. It’s fast, efficient, and offers some of the most breathtaking lake views you’ll ever see—seriously, you might forget to get off at your stop!

Now, where to start? Lausanne is a fantastic kickoff point. This city is bursting with culture and history, home to the International Olympic Committee headquarters, the Olympic Museum, and the lakeshore Olympic Park. And if you’re into aquatic life, don’t miss the aquarium—it’s a real splash!

Next, head over to Lavaux, where you can sip on a glass of wine while soaking in those picture-perfect lake views. These terraced vineyards are not just beautiful; they’re a UNESCO World Heritage site. So, you know, extra bragging rights for that Instagram post.

Switzerland is Best with Friends

For something a bit wilder, pop by Servion and its charming zoo. It’s a spot we often visit with friends and family, and who doesn’t love spending time with adorable animals?

Vevey is another gem that’s great for shopping, but it’s not just about the boutiques. This town is packed with museums, including the awesome Charlie Chaplin Museum. Plus, it’s the headquarters of Nestlé, and the summer street entertainers here will keep you smiling all day long.

Jazz Festival of Montreux

And then there’s Montreux—one of our all-time favorite spots. This place has some serious star power, especially during the Montreux Jazz Festival. You might just run into a celebrity or two—no big deal, right?

Finally, we arrive at Villeneuve. Villeneuve has this gorgeous waterfront perfect for picnics and relaxing on sunny days. And if you’re feeling adventurous, there’s an aquapark nearby to cool off in the summer heat. Plus, everything is so close that you can literally bike into France.

So there you have it—our ultimate guide to the Swiss Riviera. If you’re planning a visit, make sure to check out these incredible places. And don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to stay tuned for more travel tips and adventures!
