Foz do Iguaçu Brazil and Argentina Waterfalls
Join us as we reminisce about our trip to the world famous Iguaçu Waterfalls located between Brazil and Argentina!!!
Here's a little history about this magnificent place.
Iguaçu is a combination of two words “y” - water and “uasu” - big. There are 275 separate waterfalls that combine in the waterfall, that in turn looks like the reverse letter “J”
It's beautiful, astonishing, amazing, immersing, immense. Contrary to Niagara, inserted in a concrete jungle of buildings and urban constructions, Iguaçu Falls is in the Iguaçu National Park - a massive preserved subtropical forest, with Tucans or Araras flying over, all kinds of birds and butterflys, Quatis (a cute kind of Raccoon) walking around you.
The Iguaçu Falls are an awesome sight as tonnes of water throw themselves over cliffs and the mist rises amongst the jungle. They are taller than Niagara Falls, and twice as wide, for which Eleanor Roosevelt is said to have exclaimed on her first sight of the Falls: "Poor Niagara!"
The Iguaçu Falls is the result of a volcanic eruption that took place millions of years ago.
