Leaving New Zealand

It was our first time on a plane, over 2 years after the pandemic took the world by storm. 

Leaving New Zealand brought mixed emotions. We were excited to continue our adventure around the world, and at the same time, there was a lot of uncertainty in the air, wondering if things were going to work out. 

Eventually, they did, even though we almost missed our first flight due to extensive checkups and waiting lines. 

Our first destination was the tropical island of Fiji - a nation of warm, welcoming people, long sandy beaches, and incredible culture nestled in the turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean. 

Welcome to Fiji

After 3 hours in the air, we landed at Nadi International Airport. We got our Sim cards, rented a car at Avis Car Rentals Fiji, and headed towards our Home Exchange, which was about 1.5 hours away from the airport.

On our way there, we stopped at a grocery store to grab some food and, of course, the famous Fiji water. We also learned a few important Fijian words from the locals.

Our home away from home in Fiji was very clean and spacious, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. But more about it in the next video.
