We’re Going On A Cruise!!! 🛳️🥳 Setting Sail on the Sky Princess From Rome

Join us on a road trip across Italy to set sail on the magnificent Sky Princess Cruise Ship.

After an amazing adventure in the Balkans, we quickly ended our trip in Macedonia with an opportunity to hop on a cruise in Rome!

The biggest question was how to get there the fastest and it turned out to be an adventure as well.

First, we needed to return the car we had rented in Croatia which meant a drive back through Serbia to Zagreb.

We had a short stay in the city which gave us enough time to walk through the Christmas markets that were starting up in Ban Jelačić square.

Then we had to catch an overnight bus to Rome! It's been a while since we did a bus trip that long and thirteen hours seemed a little daunting. Luckily though, we were able to get a good night’s sleep, mostly thanks to the super useful sleeping masks we had from All Asleep. https://allasleep.ca/

Overall the trip went well, but then our accommodation in Rome was not available! The owner of the place decided to double book it, so we had to react fast. Fortunately, “Home Exchange” was able to quickly find us a cool place in the Roman-Swiss neighborhood.

After getting settled, we met up with our adopted Uncle Pepe and went out to celebrate Julia's 16th birthday together.

The next morning, the excitement level was through the roof as we finally reached the port where the Sky Princess was docked and waiting to take us on a one-week adventure through the Mediterranean.
