Saint Tropez – Jet Set Lifestyle in the Heart of the French Riviera
Welcome to Saint Tropez, France!
Did you know that until 1955, Saint Tropez was just a small port town on French Riviera? What happened in 1955?
The legendary film Et Dieu Créa la Femme (And God Created Woman), starring Brigitte Bardot, was filmed and it hit the cinemas for the first time, turning once a small fishing village named Saint Tropez into an internationally known seaside resort.
Saint Tropez was the first town on the Côte d'Azur that was liberated during World War II as part of Operation Dragoon. Soon, it became renowned because of the influx of various artists of the Yé-yé movement in music and, of course, the French New Wave in cinema. Today, it is a resort loved by both European and American jet set and tourists.
