WE MET A GEISHA IN KYOTO JAPAN! 🇯🇵❤️ … and attended a Japan Tea Ceremony!
Hey, guys! Today we are showing you Part 2 of our visit to Kyoto. Did you know that Kyoto means Capital? That's right, this beautiful city used to be the capital of Japan for over 1000 years before the country's seat was moved to Tokyo. This is why Kyoto is one of the most popular tourist places in the country.
Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Suite in Kyoto, Japan
This time around, we stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Kyoto. Our suite was spacious, with two comfortable rooms and a traditional bath that offered a stunning view. It had everything we needed to feel right at home in Kyoto. Check them out here 👉https://growingupwithoutborders.com/hyattkyoto
After settling in, it was already lunchtime, so we set off on a short walk to find some food. Along the way, we did some exploring and quickly realized how much we loved Kyoto. It's smaller than Tokyo and has a feel that's more similar to Osaka, which made us feel right at home.
Geiko (Geisha) Ceremony at the Hyatt, Kyoto
That evening, we had an incredible opportunity to watch a Geiko (a Geisha in training from Kyoto) ceremony organized by the Hyatt. Geishas are Japanese performing artists trained in traditional arts like dance, music, and singing. They're also fantastic conversationalists and hosts, making the ceremony an unforgettable experience.
Mesmerizing Tea Ceremony in Kyoto, Japan
The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast before taking our first-ever taxi ride in Japan to a mesmerizing tea ceremony. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We learned so much about the traditional tea ceremony in Japan and were surprised to find out that having Matcha at home isn't common here. 👉https://teaceremony-kyoto.com/
Our adventure continued with a visit to Ginkaku-ji, the Silver Zen Temple, followed by a peaceful stroll along the Philosopher’s Walk, a picturesque path along the riverbank and through the residential area.
Shopping and Italian Food in Kyoto
In the evening, we did a bit of shopping at an open market and treated ourselves to some amazing Italian food for dinner.
After a short nature walk, we returned to the Hyatt Regency for our last night and morning in Japan, reflecting on the wonderful experiences we had in Kyoto.
