Visit Edinburgh Scotland – Travel Guide Part 2
Welcome to part 2 of our tour of Edinburgh, Scotland - one of the most unique and memorable cities in the world with majestic buildings, beautiful gardens, fascinating museums, and kind and open locals!
We start with a visit to the Real Mary King's Close in the historic Old Town area. This close is located under buildings on the Royal Mile, making it one of Scotland’s most unique historic sites.
We also took a detour to The Elephant House - the magical cafe where JK Rowling wrote the Harry Potter books!
We hopped inside the National Museum of Scotland, before going on a tour of Dynamic Earth - one of the most unique science museums that tells the story of our planet’s history.
The next stop was at the Museum of Edinburgh. We were amazed at how many museums and attractions we could visit for free in the city! Craigmillar Castle was next on our list and we also got to see an extinct volcano called Arthur’s Seat.
The Palace of Holyroodhouse was our last destination for the day. More commonly known as Holyrood Palace, it is the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland, and the Queen lives here when she visits.
